At the previous 2006 International Trade Forum delegates from as far away as China, Japan and Canada attended a fascinating day of seminars on the latest developments in international trade at the South Fens Conference Centre in Chatteris on November 29th 2006.

The event was hosted by Professor Alan Barrell, Entrepreneur in Residence, Cambridge University and supported by UK Trade & Investment, East of England International, HM Revenue & Customs and Fenland District Council. The event was sponsored by Moneycorp and organised by March Publishing Ltd.

At the end of the event, school children from Thomas Eaton Primary School in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire arrived to meet rocket scientist Mohan Ahad for a very entertaining lesson on rockets and space travel. Mohan had earlier in the day presented a fabulous seminar about commercialising space technology. He told the audience "never be afraid to pitch high". Mohan told of his fascinating negotiations with world renowned aerospace organisations. Mohan is a winner of a DTI Smart Award which enabled him to establish his own rocket company, MicroLaunch Systems.
