Prof. Mahmood FaruquiProf. Mahmood Faruqui

Prof. Mahmood Faruqui is a Fulbright Fellow with Master of Comparative Laws from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a senior Lawyer & advises on strategy, Sharia`a Advisement, and other aspects of Islamic Finance. He consults with the FSA & the H M Treasury and assists IIFM, IFSB, ISDA, ICMA, on developing Sharia'a consistent instruments. He was Advisor/ Board Member of several institutions including Habib Bank, Faysal Bank, Alfaysal Investment Bank, Shamil Bank Bahrain, DMI Group at Geneva and Habib Bank AG Zurich, at London and was chair of Banks' Presidents Committee for introducing Islamic Banking in Pakistan. He supports Training initiatives in UK & Europe for Islamic Finance professionals.
